Connected App section showing car faults has now been supposedly fixed. They initially stated for months some software issues with Lexus vehicles but it has now disappeared from Connected App. No feedback to say they fixed it - just SILENCE !!!!!

There are many factors that affect fuel economy, such as: excess weight on items stored in the trunk, driving with windows or sunroof open, air conditioning running, infrequent engine oil changes, roof bars, etc. Also, Premium Fuel although more costly actually can increase economy as higher octane

Any owners prepared to share their real world fuel numbers? Mine is a well maintained, apparently fault free engine but I don’t get anywhere near the suggested fuel figures. 80% urban driving, 105000km, 40psi tyres, hardly ever in sport mode. Help!

If you have only just bought it through the dealer then I would return it with a demand for the modification to be carried out immediately or your money back - I'm pretty sure they will jump to it if you reject the car.

I reported a vibration at the reat differential area of my IS300H which my wife and I just bought, only 106 ks travelled, The vibration sounds like and feels, including through the steering wheel like running over a rumble strip at the approach to a railway crossing. I since have found out that this is a common pproblem with the IS300H and Lexus knows about it yet they still neglect to contact me about it, LEXUS CALLS IT REASONANCE AND THEY PRODUCE A FIX FOR IT ACORDING TO A USER IN EITHER UK OR USA. LEXUS MAKE A DAMPER AND WHEN FITTED INCLUDING AN AJUSTMENT TO THE SOFTWARE oON THE COMPUTER ,IT IS FIXED PERFECTLY. WHY WONT LEXUS CONTACT ME AND FIX THIS DAMN PROBLEM AS MOST SPEED LIMITS IN VICTORIA AUSTRALIA CITY AREA ARE 80KS PER HR, SO this vibration continues constantly.

Thanks for your comments, I think I'm going to replace the transfer and diff oil with Valvoine full synthetic 75w-90 and see it it makes a difference, good point about the tyres I've seen a post about tyre noise.

It can reduce the noise but not necessarily lubricate it as it should be - depends if the diff is on the way out and you just want to silence it but keep an eye on the temperature (should feel nominal heat with your hand but if too hot then chances are the diff could fail at the most inconvenient time. You sure its not your tyres that are creating the whining droning noise?
