  1. Sure thanks. Its just its my first car and i’m a bit of an overthinker so i just have an extra attention to weird things. Are there any tips for things i need to keep an eye out for specifically.
  2. any independent workshop should be able to tackle suspension component replacement unless you're after bespoke performance suspension mods in which case you will need a specialist to set all this up correctly - good luck, hope you find a good one!
  3. oh dear, sounds like the other garage mis-diagnosed it then - but keep an eye on it as it may be that the previous garage had the suspension loaded (weight of vehicle on it) rather than unloaded where the play not have been present.
  4. The best place to gat suspension work carried out in Perth?
  5. I had it checked with another mechanic, he lifted the car and tried wiggling the wheel, it was study and no moving also examined the lower control arm and said its fine.
  6. It certainly does sound like the lower control arm as this has swivel joints and rubber bushes which if have wear will produce freeplay which is what you have and I would replace the whole arm rather than battling to install bushes and joints
  7. Hey guys, Ozzy here from Syndey, NSW. I have IS 350 F Sport and it has a bit of wiggle/ play in my front passenger side wheel, I didn’t notice until my mechanic told me while installing a front lip on my car. He also said i need a castor arm replacement but after researching there is no front castor arm in my car,I called lexus and they told me i can replace the whole front lower control arm (They didnt diagnose but gave a rough guess). Anyone been through same issue. Need help and guidance please. Thank you:)
  8. Hello, Sorry for not responding earlier, but I have lost a lot of enthusiasm for this forum because of the lack of responses to my question, which I considered to be a "bread and butter" question for a forum of this type. This has led to me not checking this forum as regularly as before. It seems there are almost no people here with the backbone to stick their neck out. Having said that, I appreciate your reply. Yes, I have been closely watching Unibee stock. One problem is that they are in Melbourne, and I am south of Sydney, and it would take some effort for me to get there if I purchased from a yard in Melbourne, or Adelaide, or..... It is a possibility, but it would not be my first option. There are any number of "import" yards in Sydney that offer the same service as Unibee, if not necessarily having the same levels of Hybrid offerings. Secondly, I believe that I can get a car for a lower price trying to import it myself if I find the right importer. I believe that I have found one, south of Sydney, that often gets cars delivered to Port Kembla, which is only 45 minutes drive from me. Delivery to Port Kembla is not the #1 priority for me, but it does help lower the ultimate cost. Again, thank you for your reply, and I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts about keeping your 600 running well. Does anyone else have any "importer" insights? Lexyhybrid's posts are just what I am looking for.
